Engage in projects with our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Team and be a part of a growing organization that anticipates and delivers our client’s objectives and solves their challenges as a trusted partner. This is an excellent opportunity for a proficient engineer to influence production of engineering design and support mass-transit projects with a focus on resiliency, equity, and sustainability.
Your Impact
  • Your role will evolve to leverage your particular interests and abilities.
  • Deliver mechanical engineering projects for transportation, industrial, institutional projects which may include railroad, aviation, marine, transit, parking, stormwater, or bridge infrastructure.
  • Contribute to some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects nationwide including zero emission transit bus and rail facilities, airport air and landside facilities, pump stations, or port facilities.
  • Design of air distribution, hydronic distribution, plumbing, fire protection and/or special systems and selection of major equipment.
  • Drive concepts and development of automated control and monitoring systems.
  • Enable construction activities with engineering services during construction.
  • Facilitate and grow into project management.
  • Support Client objectives representing WSP in client meetings.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in or Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems for facilities.
  • Experience in design of Mechanical building services or infrastructure.
  • Project experience from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
  • Experience with the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or vehicle support systems, and automatic controls for a broad range of commercial systems.
  • Working knowledge of building and energy codes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and in teams, organize activities, and present concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • P.E. license or E.I.T. certification.
  • LEED AP.
  • Experience with one or more of the following categories of facilities: Vehicular, transit; rail; aviation; industrial; or educational facilities.
