The Wingbrace Digital Engineering Team is charged with identifying, developing, and applying new technologies that can address the Government's most challenging software and systems engineering problems.

Location of the Role
The role is mostly remote with occastional travel to a Wingbrace office. We have offices in Lincoln Massachusetts, Dayton Ohio and Shreveport Louisiana
Day to Day Responsibilities
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your engineering expertise by leading DevSecOps efforts and joining our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. Architect, develop and implement end-to-end cluster and application life cycles
Work with development team in architecting, developing and implementing on-prem and true cloud solutions
Implement cybersecurity best practices
Develop, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Implement and maintain SAST and DAST scanning capabilities, working with developers to resolve findings
Implement best practices for Software Delivery
Automate deployment of application software into staging environment mirroring client production environment

Skills/Education/Certification
Minimum BA/BS in a technical discipline
Ten (10) years or more of related experience; or Masters Degree and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or Juris Doctor (JD) and two (2) years or more of related experience.
Technical Requirements
In-depth, hands-on experience building platforms at scale for containerized workloads, particularly leveraging Kubernetes, Docker and Podman, including cluster provisioning, operations, workload optimization, custom controllers/operators, workflow orchestration, logging monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.
Experience working in Kubernetes environments and deploying applications following CI/CD pipelines into Kubernetes.
Support and improve DevSecOps solutions for continuous build, automated testing and release management.
Strong familiarity with DevSecOps software configuration management systems and tools: Linux, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Ansible, Terraform.
Experience integrating security solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in Agile environments with multiple development teams.
Ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) and provide solutions and presentations as needed.
Demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills for developing and delivering technical presentations.
Referenceable project-based experience in a team environment
Experience with managing DevSecOps pipelines and test automation required
Supports the security strategy governing the application and cloud-based platform infrastructure
Works with other infrastructure, DevSecOps and application engineers to understand product and business needs
Provides expertise around application and cloud service development and helps define and support clear guardrails, alerts, and Security as Code (SaC) deployments to provide protection from malicious traffic, vulnerabilities and other attack vectors
Supports cloud infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance and resilience
Provides expertise and best practices for implementing cloud security (internal) and product security (external)
Assesses architectures and designs for security vulnerabilities and suggest and implements proper alternatives
Oversees the management and remediation of identified security flaws within our development platforms
Builds and maintains monitoring, auditing and reporting frameworks that produce artifacts supporting security and compliance needs
Builds, buys and maintains a set of tools that enable developers to self-serve for most operational tasks
Develops processes that produce artifacts that support security and compliance requirements
Required:
