Description
- Maintain and control inventory of tools
- Pull and return tooling for mechanics
- Clean, repair, or replace tooling as necessary
- Check calibration on torque wrenches, multi-meter, photo tach hydraulic gauges, thermistor group, heat guns, multi-meters, battery load testers on semi-annual schedule or as needed
- Maintain adequate oil supply, reorder when necessary, and arrange for disposal of waste oil
- Order and maintain inventory for service supply items
- Assist mechanics in procuring outside parts for repair, including fuel for shop and yard equipment as needed
- Monitor and maintain soap supplies, and diesel fuel
- Clean and Maintain the Marc Parts Washers
- Maintain contamination control documentation and perform required sampling and maintenance to specified systems
- Monitor filter disposal and ensure environmental compliance records are kept.
- Monitor and maintain refrigerant inventory and log
- Schedule building maintenance and vehicle maintenance for the Company equipment
- Place parts orders and prepare purchase requisitions from outside vendors
- Maintain contamination control documentation and perform required sampling and maintenance to specified systems, including fire system compliance
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain housekeeping of tool room area
- Read appropriate literature to insure all tools/information are current
- Update manuals as required
- Work with a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with tooling, CDL and parts management/procurement
- Knowledge of hand, air and electric tool repairs
- An understanding of cost/value relationships when procuring replacement or new tooling
- Ability to keep and maintain an inventory of tooling
- Ability to scheduled calibration and safety check of tools
- Communication skills via telephone
- Basic computer skills
- Technical degree in related field
- Background in maintenance
- Background in parts sales or in a similar field
- Walk and/or stand 5-8 hours per day on concrete floor in shop environment that maybe warm or cold
- Sit 1-3 hours per day
- 50lb weight lifting restriction
- Use hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
- Use feet frequently in repetitive movement
- Frequently bend, squat and climb
- Work overtime as needed
- Must be able to communicate clearly, precisely and logically at all levels
- Ability to drive vehicle in town
