X3 Tradesmen is Hiring a Site Safety Supervisor Near Ferron, UT

Our company is expanding, and we are seeking a success-driven Safety Manager with at least 5 years of experience in construction safety- preferably high voltage electrical. As a key contributor to our company's success, the Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Implementation:

-Utilize safety research and industry best practices to create effective policies and procedures that eliminate workplace hazards.
-Ensure that these policies are communicated clearly to all employees and consistently enforced.

  • Accident Documentation and Investigation:

-Document workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses promptly and accurately.
-Investigate the circumstances surrounding incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

  • On-Site Safety Oversight:

-Regularly visit job sites to observe safety procedures in action.
-Take notes on existing safety practices and identify areas for improvement.
-Collaborate with site supervisors and workers to address safety concerns.

  • Risk Mitigation:

-Analyze accident reports to identify common causes of workplace injuries.
-Brainstorm and implement strategies to reduce risks and enhance safety protocols.
-Make recommendations for changes to processes, equipment, or work methods.

  • Emergency Preparedness:

-Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans.
-Ensure that all team members are familiar with these plans and participate in regular drills.
-Coordinate with relevant departments (such as facilities management) to ensure effective emergency responses.

  • Technology and Equipment Recommendations:

-Stay informed about developments in safety technology.
-Recommend new equipment, tools, or safety measures to enhance workplace safety.
-Collaborate with the head of operations to implement approved changes.

  • Employee Training:

-Schedule safety training sessions for employees across various areas (weekly safety meeting, annual retraining, and as necessary):
-Emergency response procedures
-Mechanical safety (e.g., proper use of machinery)
-Handling chemical hazards
-Compliance with environmental regulations
-Ensure that employees receive ongoing safety education.

  • Accident Tracking and Metrics:

-Manage systems to track accidents, near misses, and safety-related incidents.
-Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Insurance Claims & Reports

-File insurance claims as needed on both accidents and workers comp related claims.
-Provide insurance company with investigation documentation.
-Follow the claim through completion and/or payment of claim.

  • Maintain Safety Management Databases as required by Clients/Potential Clients
  • Maintain Employee Safety Files

-Trainings
-Licenses/Certifications
-Infractions

Requirements:

  • Required certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months): OSHA 500 or greater, CHST or greater from BSCP (or equivalent), MSHA Trainer.
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial construction safety.
  • Associates degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in safety management of at least 5 years, including knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, EHS, OSHA regulations, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and training development
  • Ability to fabricate solutions to improve safety processes
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus
