XAL is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Oxford, CT

XAL Inc., a leader in the lighting manufacturing industry, is looking to add a Technician to their Quality Control Department. Quality Technicians are responsible for inspecting parts for defects and pulling any negative parts from the process before they are placed into stock. Quality Technicians are also charged with making sure parts they handle are up to XAL Inc’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Follow and improve Quality Standards for areas of the XAL Inc. Quality Department

· Ensure best possible quality of products and standards

· Report the results of quality measurement to the Quality Management Team

· Follow the processes set for the responsible area(s) of the Quality Department

· Help improve quality related processes and procedures

· Interface with other departments (if necessary) to ensure the best possible product quality

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

· Good team player

· Can work well individually and with other team members

· Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Be able to work standing for 8 hours a day

· Be able to lift 25 pounds

· Able to work with minimum supervision

· High school diploma (preferred)

· Experience in a quality control or manufacturing setting (preferred)

· Base computer skills (able to enter data into Microsoft Excel, Outlook, basic ERP System navigation)

· Adapt to changes in task based on deadline priorities

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $18 per hour

Schedule:

· Monday – Friday

· 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

· Overtime available based on deadlines
