Job Description

You will mostly be working with injection molding machines. Provides daily production support for repair and refurb of tooling and equipment used in the various processes. Supports improvement and maintenance of new tools and repair of existing tools.

  • Good knowledge of plastic injection, blow molding, and stamping.
  • Ability to work & trouble shoot Hot Runner Systems, DME Cables & Boards that support the hot runner systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injections molds & dies.
  • Ability to fabricate components from blueprints and layouts.
  • Ability to trouble shoot tools to identify root causes for flash, shorts, burns, broken cores, and ejector pins etc.
  • Fabricate tools, fixtures, molds, and other components in support of manufacturing.
  • Ability to work with precision instruments. (Calipers, micrometer, dial indicators, gauge blocks etc.)
  • Ability to set up and operate all machine shop equipment, including milling, lathe, and surface grinders.
  • Ability to make and time gate pins
  • Ability to fabricate and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and parts
  • Adhere to all shop safety procedures.
  • Follow and improve shop processes
  • Good knowledge of all areas of machine shop theory and practice.
  • Optimize customer service through teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Ability to read, write and be able to present information in an individual basis and with vendors and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills are required to perform this job successfully and must have knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD. Mattec software knowledge preferred.

Physical Demands

  • You will be required to regularly reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • You will frequently be required to stand and walk.
  • You will occasionally be required to sit.
  • You will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 per hour
