We operate 9 lodging facilities with over 2,000 guest rooms across 6 locations throughout Yellowstone. Guest accommodations include cabins and hotel rooms ranging from rustic to modern. We’re hiring PBX Concierge's to Live. Work. Explore. this summer in iconic Yellowstone National Park!

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be supporting the Lodging System Manager and will be making same day reservations for Lodging. You will be partnering with Front Office Staff and will be a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to reservations as well as technical support such as Opera.

The Details:Position Type:Seasonal Season Dates:July - NovemberPay: $16.75/hr.Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Support Yellowstone National Park Lodging, Support Services and Activities, and general administrative office by handling all incoming requests for same day lodging, activities booking requests that cannot be made via central reservations, and general administrative inquiries. Make dining reservations as requested by guests.
  • Make same day reservations for lodging – maintain continuously updated knowledge of availability, graciously providing alternative lodging options for guests when lodges or campgrounds are sold out.
  • Foster a strong relationship with all partners, including front office staff at each location and activities staff, and maintain close communication with key partners to ensure reservation accuracy.
  • Partner with front office staff to complete as many perfect sells (100% occupancy) as possible
  • Provide day-to-day end-user tech support and trouble-shooting for all related Yellowstone National Park reservations systems including Opera, on-line reservations systems, and NEC call management systems.
  • Participate in ongoing departmental cross-training to gain insights on how to improve guest service, streamline or change procedures, and consolidate office functions. Be willing and eager to answer the call for help in any department and any role.
  • Partner with lodging, activity, and food and beverage staff to ensure training libraries in the Lodging Management System are accurate and effective on a continual basis.
  • Develop and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports as requested by Yellowstone’s management teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain safe facilities; complete required NPS/Corporate safety programs and inspections. Provide necessary review; accident investigation and follow-up.
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with the company “Ecologix” program and be conscientious of own actions in improving the environment.
  • Desire for development and advancement, completing learning and development classes when available and meeting with a Lodging department mentor regularly.
  • Continuously evaluate and seek to improve Lodging department systems and processes. Vocalize constructive feedback on a consistent basis.
Qualifications
  • Thorough analytical and technical knowledge of hospitality reservations systems, including but not limited to Opera, Central Res System, Dining Reservation System.
  • Ability to operate computers in general, NEC Call Management Systems, Reservations Management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Superior customer service mentality, genuine desire to curate great experiences and meet customer needs.
  • Time management, organization, and project planning skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time – 75% of workday
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week when necessary – 25% of workday
  • Ability to work in a higher altitude environment – 100% of workday
  • Ability to stand for eight hours a day, bend and lift up to 40 pounds, when called on to assist inother departments – 10% of workdays.
