** Senior Gas Transportation Scheduling Analyst Job**

Location(s): CO - Denver

**Summary**

Responsible for leading and coordinating the scheduling and nomination process for all gas supply, transportation and storage volumes on a 24 hour basis. Ensures that all supplies and transportation services are confirmed for delivery and resolves disputes with suppliers and transporters regarding volume and location discrepancies. Coordinates the linkage between the nominated supply schedules and the available transportation capacities. Ensures compliance with all transportation and storage contracts. Based on experience provides training and support to less experienced Transportation Scheduling Analysts.

**Responsibilities**

* Progressive responsibility and accountability in leading and coordinating the accurate and timely scheduling and nomination of gas supply, transportation and storage volumes for the regulated operating companies for Xcel Energy. Monitors and aligns gas supply purchase agreements and nominations to available transportation contracts.

* Optimizes the utilization of transportation and storage contracts on a daily or hourly basis with decreased levels of supervision based on experience.

* With increasing levels of independence, coordinates the confirmation of all nominations. Investigates and resolves nomination discrepancies and reschedules supply and transportation volumes as necessary. Ensures that all nomination and scheduling deadlines are met on a daily and hourly basis while verifying the compliance of all gas supply agreements.

* With increasing levels of independence, ensures the compliance with all volume and location terms and conditions of the transportation and storage agreements and ensures Xcel Energy does not incur penalties or reduce the reliability of the delivery and generation systems as a result of inadequate gas supplies.

* Is responsible for the accurate and timely entry of volume information in the transaction management system.

* Provides training and support as well as serves as a mentor to less experienced Transportation Scheduler-Analysts.

* Some weekend work required

**Required**

* BS degree in Business, Logistics, or other discipline, or equivalent combination of education and job experience in a logistics based industry.

* Based on prior experience has a progressive level of in-depth knowledge of a logistics based business, preferably the gas business, the interstate pipeline network, nomination electronic bulletin boards, transportation and storage contracts, and pipeline tariffs.

* Must be able to handle time-pressured deadlines on an hourly and daily basis with decreased levels of oversight based on experience.

* Must be able to be on call on a 24-hour basis to respond to pipeline situations.

* Must be extremely computer literate.

**Preferred**

* Strong organizational and planning skills as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills are desired.

* Experience in gas scheduling is preferred.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $66,000 to $94,000 per year
