As a Laser Technician, you will apply your skills in optical Assembly and alignment to deliver fusion energy. We are looking for our technicians to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

Responsibilities

• Working with multi-functional teams on projects which may or may not be related to a Laser Technician’s normal scope of experience.
• Ensure that documented Work Instructions & SOPs are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Participate in Stand-up meetings and communicate any issues or blockers.
• Participates in laser safety audits and related activities.

• The ideal candidate should have an associate’s degree in optics or lasers or 3-5 years of experience working with high-power laser systems.
• Experience with opto-mechanical assembly and laser alignment.
• Experience working in a cleanroom and adhering to strict safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze plan and coordinate work activities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum

• Experience with start-up companies is a plus.
