Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will oversee very closely, and manage priorities for Project Managers, Field Installation Technicians, and the 24/7 customer service team, known as the “SafetyNet”. Will liaise closely with Sales and Development to ensure we deliver to the expectations of the customer. The number 1 priority will be to ensure the quality of installations, system uptime, and customer satisfaction. Must stay informed of exactly which projects are coming up, how far they have been planned and executed, and be familiar with the details of any major upcoming installations. Will be responsible for standardizing installation methods across all customer sites.

XiltriX is an ISO-certified company, and we require a very active participation in the internal Quality Management System, including creating and executing on Improvement Action Plans (IAP’s). This is an office-based position in San Diego, CA and will require up to 20% travel across the US and Canada to visit customer sites and ensure quality standards are being met. This is a key position in the XiltriX organization and will offer a future growth path for the right candidate

Responsibilities: 

· Manage our overall new implementation and break/fix calendar. Develop and manage project plans and schedules, identify critical risks/tasks, and allocate resources to achieve project objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality)

· Provide technical expertise and guidance related to designs, installation, and troubleshooting that meet our standards

· Lead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner, consistent with XiltriX's Strategic Objectives and Core Values

· Offer leadership and direction to the Project Managers and Field Team, providing technical support and guidance on priorities

· Oversee our Warehouse operations to ensure adequate inventory levels and accurate asset tracking

· Oversee our Field Operations teams to ensure high-quality new customer implementations and efficient execution of work orders and service visits 

· Oversee our SafetyNet team to ensure compliance with company protocols and response times, and a high level of customer service

· Manage budgets, schedules, staffing and inventory projections to assigned projects

· Conduct site visits to inspect installation quality and address any issues or concerns

· Analyze data for metrics to achieve installation targets, reduce cost, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service 

· Improve the efficiency of existing processes and procedures 

· Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates, escalate critical customer issues, and address any questions or concerns

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; or relevant experience

· Strong personal and interpersonal skills as a self-starter with strong follow-through

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and navigate problems or unforeseen circumstances

· Superb organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to get involved in the details to identify long term solutions and/or process improvements

· Ability to manage simultaneous projects

· Understanding of how each task and dependency supports the successful completion of a project

· Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally

· Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building trusting relationships

· Experience in Project Implementation of complex systems 

· Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits, oversight and audit of installations

· Valid driver’s license and car insurance with a clean driving record

Ideal Qualifications:

· Lean Six Sigma, CAPM, or PMP certifications are a plus

· Experience in Life Science or Laboratory Environments 

· Familiarity with basics of IT network setup and cloud applications hosting 

· Experience working at a mission-critical operation with 24/7 response 

Annual salary: $100,000 - $145,000 based on qualifications directly applicable to job requirements
