POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Quality Control Inspector

LOCATION: Lewisville

PAY: $18-$20/HR

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary role is to ensure that products meet quality standards set by the company and government regulations. This involves carrying out inspections of cosmetic products before distribution, during the storage process, and after handling at the distribution center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify packaging integrity: Ensure that containers are properly sealed and have no damage that could compromise the quality or safety of the product.

• Check visual quality: Inspect products for any defects in color, texture, shape, or overall appearance.

• Document findings: Record all the results of the inspections and tests carried out and any corrective actions taken if any quality problems are detected.

• Communicate with CRT the returns order contents verified and receive approval from CRT for further processing, i.e., goods disposition.

• Validate returned products/items contents against original shipping order communicating any problems or variances and reporting to the Quality operations semiregularly.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Communicate with Quality any deviations or quality alerts from Reception (incoming), Assortment lines, and products delivered by third-party manufacturers.

• Carry out, if necessary, resampling and inspection of the finished products & products delivered by third-party manufacturers that have potential Quality risks.

• Ensure the protection, integrity, and validity of the standards of the finished product & product delivered by third-party manufacturers.

• In case of any rework guarantee the sampling process per MIL-STD and conclude the proper disposition of the product.

• Identify/Sort returns into appropriate disposition categories and process in SAP according to best practices.

• Receive new product samples for and validate weight and dimensions. Providing the data to the Data Master for appropriate recording within 24 hours of receipt of product, and before the product goes to the pick line.

• Maintain an up-to-date record of transactions related to overall product movement within the area and properly inform the inventory control department.

TRAVEL: None All other duties are as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Associate’s degree

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year working in a distribution center in the quality field.

SKILLS: PC skills that include the knowledge of Windows programs such as Excel & MS Word.

OTHER: Must be able to routinely perform the physical task of opening, lifting, and transporting boxes. At least 50% of the workday will be spent standing.
