Job Position: Data Scientist II

Job Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description:

Job Brief/Key responsibilities:

• We are looking Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• The person in this role will analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company.
• We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.
• In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data.
• We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research.
• You will help transform data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes, and collaborating on product development.
• Work with Best-in-Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options.

Main job tasks:

• Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis with stakeholders to understand and define business needs.
• Building appropriate modelling techniques to provide analytical solutions to business problems
• Presenting information using data visualization techniques
• Implement and validate predictive and prescriptive models, create, and maintain statistical models with a focus on big data.
• Incorporate a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques in your projects.
• Write programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner.
• Use leading edge and open-source tools such as Dataiku, Pyspark.
• Work in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other scientists, engineers, consultants and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviors.
• Evaluate modelling results and communicate the results to technical and non-technical audiences

MUST HAVES:

1) Python required, R is a plus

2) Machine Learning required

3) Health care/pharma industry required

4) Real World Data Exp is a BIG plus

5) Dataiku, PySpark are highly preferred

6) Data Visualization is a plus (Dash Plotly and Tableau)

7) Exp with Cloud Data (AWS, Azure) is a plus

Knowledge, skills & abilities, and experience:

Education:

• Bachelor s Degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Operations Research, Engineering)

Experience:

• Experience in data mining
• Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
• Advanced understanding of Python
• Knowledge of Healthcare/Pharma industry
• Familiarity with Real World Data is a plpreferred
• Experience using business intelligence tools (examples) and data frameworks (examples)
• Work experience using data science tools in a corporate environment

Skills & abilities:

• Interest in, understanding of, or experience with Design Thinking and Agile Development Methodologies.
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra)
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Physical requirements and work environment:

• Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers.
• The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication.
• Local and International Travel: 0-5%
