Description
Xpress Trucking, Inc. is seeking a FULL-TIME Warehouse Associate who can safely and efficiently move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.
Job Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments from shipping dock to containers.
- Arrange freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform.
- Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.
- Freight inspection, monitor incoming/outgoing freight.
- Responds professionally to all customer's needs and concerns.
- Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping floor, wiping up spills, and keeping space organized.
- Responds promptly and professionally to internal staff and customer needs/concerns in a quick and courteous manner and able to bring unresolved issues to management.
- Back up Small Box Trucker Driver as needed
- Work together as a team with all departments and offices.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
- Complete all other tasks, duties and errands as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience loading and unloading containers
- Forklift, power tools and other heavy equipment experience preferred
- Basic math, written and oral communications skills
- Cross-dock experience preferred
- Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance required.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
