Field Service Engineer (FSE)

This position is based in the Englewood, Colorado, United States.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering customer satisfaction through the analysis, troubleshooting, and field service strategies of complex electro-mechanical medical devices in accordance with customer requirements, accepted industry standards, and corporate standards and procedures.

WHAT WILL YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

· Responsible for preventive maintenance, routine repair, and on call support of XVIVO’s field installed equipment and service pool devices. Includes equipment relocation and reinstallation.

· Analyse, diagnose, and troubleshoot XVIVO medical device problems via telephone or at customer site. Participate in an on-call schedule rotation providing after hours, weekends, and holidays, support as needed.

· Perform installations, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on XVIVO medical devices installed at customer sites and on-site bench repair facility.

· Provide accurate and clear documentation of work activities using document management database, so that records provide appropriate information of the product service history for regulatory compliance. Complete expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities in accordance with XVIVO procedures and with manager’s approval.

· Ensure the appropriate parts availability and as specified service requirements.

· Perform basic warehouse activities. Includes shipping/receiving, inventory management, etc.

· Maintain appropriate calibrated tools on hand and as required in the field.

· Travel as required for the purpose of performing service activities at customer sites or backfilling for other Service Engineers. Must be open to emergency travel and last-minute changes to schedule.

· Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

· Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% domestically and internationally.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED?

· Minimum of a two-year degree (Technical school or Associates Degree) or equivalent with relevant experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.

· 2 years’ experience in field service for medical devices

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Ability to work flexible hours with considerable amounts of travel.

· Strong organization skills

· Ability to evaluate multiple customer issues and set priorities, and to manage processes.

· Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

· Ability to deal effectively with customers.

· Strong system level troubleshooting skills

· Strong computer skills

BENEFITS AND COMPENATION

· Salary Pay or Salary Range: $56,000 to $85,000
