General Purpose

To assist sales, production, and marketing in the pricing, design, and fabrication of custom projects as well as the development of new standard products. This is a dynamic role with a diversity of skill sets on a highly collaborative, process-driven team. This is not an entry-level position and requires years of experience building in a diversity of materials and processes, including CAD and CNC manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Inside Sales & the Production teams on pricing estimates, designs, and value engineering on custom projects
• Draw and detail custom projects
• Prepare documents for production
• Prepare programs for the CNC
• Collaborate with Marketing on new product development

Other Duties

• Practice the daily katas: 5S & continuous improvements
• Consult Customs on pricing, designs, and building processes
• Build BOM’s and Preflight Checklists
• Participate in Premortems & Hanseis to help build a learning culture
• Ensure accuracy on the product descriptions provided by the in-house sales team
• Ensure the production team has all the necessary details to successfully build projects sold that fall outside the scope of established production SOPs
• Manage the CNC programming process and file system
• Provide guidance on the production of custom projects
• Be on the production floor building for ~10% of the time to maintain knowledge base on current processes
