Summary/Objective
The Groundsman supports the crew by performing from the ground. The groundsman observes all safety rules to guarantee a clean and safe work zone. All workers may also act as drivers to work sites, so CDL Licenses and a clean motor vehicle report are preferred.

Essential Function

• Keep work are clear of debris to maintain a safe work zone.
• Define staging areas.
• Setting up and breaking down road signs in visible location as required.
• Prepare and feeding brush into wood chipper.
• Loading and unloading trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
• Using gasoline powered equipment.
• Operating various trucks and equipment.
• Tying knots, rope breaks, and speed lines according to industry standard.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
