Y Combinator is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Dallas, TX
This position is a full-time permanent direct hire role seated in Dallas Texas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues, working closely with the operations leadership team to guide the business to optimal outcomes, provide timely decision support using data driven analysis.
This role will include a lot of project-based work including the development of new tools and reports. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to [brief company description]. We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis to support our financial planning and analysis functions.
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support the company’s strategic and operational decisions. This role involves budgeting and forecasting, managing and assessing P&L variances, creating and using financial reports, and conducting investment analysis.
Work with the Operation Centers across the US & Canada doing financial analysis on performs, market trends etc to drive performance.
Education & Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Budgeting and forecasting
- P&L management and assessment of variances
- Creating and using reports
- Investment analysis
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather budget inputs and ensure accuracy.
P&L Management and Assessment of Variances:
- Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements.
- Identify and explain variances between actual and budgeted results.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for cost control and revenue enhancement.
Creating and Using Reports:
- Generate financial reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports.
- Present findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Investment Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis for potential investments and projects.
- Evaluate the financial performance of existing investments.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
