We are hiring people for our Brentwood & Coram Day Hab locations. The ideal candidate should possess a wide range of skills and are eager to promote YAI's mission of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, love, work, and learn at our Brentwood & Coram Day Habs in the community.

About the Position:

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work closely with people of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Depending on the supports needed, DSPs may work in a person’s home, in their family’s home, in a YAI residence, at a day habilitation center, or out in the community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Work or life experience in the I/DD field is a plus but not mandatory

· Ability to complete three to five weekdays of paid New York State-mandated OPWDD training during normal business hours

· Tuberculosis (TB) testing is mandatory for most positions (and is provided free of charge by our partnership with CityMD)

· Driver's license required for majority of locations

Full-Time or Part-Time

4 Day Full Time work week and no weekends
