Excited to announce new pay rates for our Pharmacy Technicians and a new career ladder for professional growth and development!

Schedule is 40 hours a week, day shift, rotating weekends, holidays and evenings as needed.

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:

• Professional and Technical Competence: Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and address any issues promptly.
• Inventory Management: Ensure appropriate inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies as needed.
• Controlled Substance Oversight: Verify daily controlled substance counts in Pyxis during refill and restocking activities.
• System Support: Enter and verify patient charges and credits daily using the hospital information system.
• IV Compounding Expertise: Adhere to clean room attire and cleaning procedures 100% of the time.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Maintain professional relationships with employees in other departments and keep them informed of patient and clinical issues.
• Educational and Safety Compliance: Attend all required safety and educational programs.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Licensure: Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the Rhode Island Board of Pharmacy and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
