Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Manager-Data Science to join our team in Marietta, GA. The Sr. Manager-Data Science will be primarily responsible for leading Data Science activities in the Analytics Center of Excellence for YMFUS. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to credit policy and automation, loss forecasting, behavior score modeling, Loan Origination System design and implementation. What you’ll be doing:
Manage a team of Data Scientists to execute and support credit policy and automation, loss forecasting, behavior score modeling, Loan Origination System design and implementation and provide analytical support to for business initiatives. Also develops Data Science team members for future growth in the organization.
Lead key modelling initiatives like credit scorecards, loss forecasting models, behavior score models, customer acquisition and retention models, and staffing models.
Meet with internal and external customers to establish requirements
Strategy design and adjustments
Liaison with, and maintain relationship with, other departments on Strategic initiatives like Scorecard, Decision Engine, System Conversion, etc.
Perform quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, and monitoring of the company's entire Retail finance business using Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning tools.
Develop automated scoring and decisioning systems to improve business efficiency while maintaining portfolio performance
Design, implement, and maintain credit policy and underwriting controls in the Loan Origination System (LOS).
Monitor and assess the post-implementation impact of risk management and other business strategies on business results & apply highly technical and innovative ideas to solve business problems.
Conduct comprehensive analyses to assess levels of credit risk including summarizing results with opinions and recommendations for actions
Create and maintain methods of tracking, forecasting, presenting, and managing portfolio performance.
Present business cases, results of the analyses to Senior Management
Ad hoc reporting and analysis
What you’ll need to be successful:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Finance or other related field required.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of working experience with at least 3 years of model 7 development.
Minimum 4-6 years of people management experience.
Technical experience with SAS, SQL, Python, etc.
Experience in Auto, Motorcycle, or other consumer lending
