This regular, full-time position is for a Peer Support Specialist to work in the Yamhill County Community Support Services division providing integrated mental health and substance abuse services as part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This position will work within a transdisciplinary, community-based team to support adults achieve wellness and recovery. Responsibilities include: utilizing personal experiences with mental health services to provide mentoring and support; assisting individuals with utilizing recovery skills, providing linkage with local peer organizations and community resources, identifying strengths to achieve individual goals, and may provide both individual and group peer services. Candidates must identify as a current or former recipient of mental health services, embrace the philosophy of resilience and recovery, and be a role model for persons receiving mental health services.
