Yamhill County is Hiring a Certified Medical Assistant Near McMinnville, OR

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Certified Medical Assistant, to perform direct patient care as assigned and supervised by a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Psychiatrist in a clinic, client home, and/or other community settings and will provide services in support of Behavioral Health programs serving adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Duties will include metabolic monitoring by taking vital signs, updating patient/client charts, routine patient/client visits for information, conducting special tests (under direct supervision), assisting with procedures, drawing blood, medication monitoring in coordination with RN and treatment team, and other duties as assigned.

The Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Possess an Oregon Medical Assistant Certification in good standing.
  • Skilled at drawing blood.
Additionally, you must have the ability to secure and maintain a driver’s license in the state of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record. A successful completion of a background check is also required.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, computer proficiency and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with coworkers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.
