Yasufuku USA is looking for an International Purchasing Specialist . This position analyzes customer order data to maintain appropriate in house product inventory for our clients. The analysis will entail running a material requirements plan(MRP). Based on that data, determine the appropriate lead time and amount of inventory to place a PO for.

This position also works closely with Sales/R&D and our international partners to take projects from quotation to mass production.

The successful candidate will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding of our purchasing and inventory policies and understand when issues need to be escalated to management for resolution. The ability to see and understand the "big picture" of the responsibilities is vital.

Responsibilities

• Regular & punctual attendance required
• Remote working is not an option
• Based on MRP place PO’s to international Vendors
• Project Coordination for new business
• Inventory Control
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be able to organize & prioritize tasks
• Reconcile month end inventory valuations
• Understand and follow company policies and safety rules
• Cross-train for departmental familiarization and assist other departments as requested
• Maintain data and prepare reports as needed

Skills

High school diploma/GED required (Post High School education preferred)

• Previous production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous inventory control or International Purchasing/Buying experience preferred
• PC ability with Windows and Microsoft Office Software

Typical shift 8:00am to 4:30pm
