Location: Charleston, TN

Pay Rate: Up to $28 Hour

Hours: Scheduled 40 Hours/Week

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Riggers. Must be able to rig pipe, equipment and structural components safely into position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in performing any combination of the following duties: load/unload material and equipment rig, hoist, place, pipe, equipment, and other structural steel components according to the layouts or blueprints while working as a crewmember.
  • These duties must be performed in a safe and timely manner with the highest quality possible.
  • Set up hoisting equipment for rigging, raising and placing pipe, equipment and structural components.
  • Fasten (rig) components to hoist using chain, cable, nylon slings, or rope.
  • Signal worker operating hoisting equipment.
  • Guide member using tag line (rope) in order to guide it into position.
  • Pull, push, or pry components into approximate position while supported by hoisting device.
  • Force component into final position using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks and hand tools.
  • Secure or Bolt aligned components to keep in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded into place.
  • Cut and weld steel members to make alterations.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
  • Maintain work area in clean and tidy manner.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams in order to perform tasks accurately.
  • Ability to move machinery and equipment using; hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Ability to assemble and install various types of equipment and machinery using hand tools and power tools.
  • NCCER Advanced Rigger Certification a plus.
  • Structural Welding is a plus.

Experience and Requirements:

  • 5 plus years previous ironworking/rigging experience in an industrial setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MSDS sheets with management/supervision.
  • Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motion
