Job Summary:

The Intern will assist the Construction Team on a construction site. The primary goal of an Intern is to gain a comprehensive understanding of site-specific activities required for successful project completion and experience in all areas of managing a construction site.

Primary Duties:

• Coordinate, assist, and communicate with the team to successfully execute on-site tasks required to complete a successful project
• Maintain positive relationships with all Yates Companies employees, including the entire design team, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and all applicable municipal representatives
• Promote job-site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify any job-site hazards immediately
• Assist with the execution of site-specific tasks as assigned
• Actively complete on-site tasks as assigned to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality artistry that conforms to the plans and specifications
• Demonstrate commitment to Injury-Free Environment through own actions
• Maintain an organized job site and site construction office
• Foster a positive work environment to provide an opportunity for professional growth and development of employees
• Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information; oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers
• Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
• Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
• Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
• Manage databases and input information, data, and records
• Research and gather documentation on the company's position in the industry
• Attend company functions and networking events
• Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
• Fulfilling tasks assigned by a supervisor
• Learning technical skills related to the industry
