What We Are Looking ForYazaki is seeking an Engineering Resource Management Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining Engineering Resource Management business and system work instructions, processes, and procedures, as well as managing and training a diverse group of associates. This role is crucial in balancing workload and recognizing areas of concern to ensure smooth operations.
What You'll Be DoingEngineering Resource Management:
  • Interview, hire, and train associates in Engineering Resource Management.
  • Create, review, implement, and revise work instructions, processes, training materials, project roadmaps, and procedures for Engineering Resource Management.
  • Manage a group of associates from multiple countries and backgrounds, coordinating across different office locations.
  • Balance workload and manpower to meet internal customer expectations.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for manpower, fixed assets, and general budgets.
  • Lead the development and delivery of high-quality Engineering Resource Management processes and system deliverables on time.
Customer In-Plant Issue Management
  • Ensure the effective execution and governance of Yazaki North America's (YNCA) Engineering Resource Management Policy.
  • Align requirements with Engineering Leadership and implement process and system changes to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the management of Engineering Resource Management systems and databases, including configuration, testing, debugging, and modification of affected reports, data, and files.
Customer In-Plant Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Lead the governance and execution of the Engineering Training Strategy for all Engineering Associates across various locations.
  • Develop and document requirements, alternatives, recommendations, and process improvements to enhance deliverables.
Communication Activities
  • Effectively communicate with direct and indirect management, as well as with internal customers.
  • Provide end-user training and documentation for Engineering Resource Management systems.
  • Support engineers across multiple time zones and countries, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Launch Support
  • Support the execution and governance of Engineering Resource Management policies during product development and manufacturing functions.
  • Ensure the successful integration of engineering resources into new product launches, managing any resource-related issues that arise.
What You Will Bring To The Table
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 7 years of experience in Engineering Resource Management or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience supporting product development or manufacturing functions as a service organization.
  • Design for Six Sigma experience and certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and PowerBI; knowledge of SuccessFactors Learning Module and SAP is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • On-call availability to support engineers across multiple time zones and countries.
  • Ability to perform essential functions in a primarily sedentary office position.
