ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, employees and/or the facility.
2. Escorts and observes customers and Employees, to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and report same to the appropriate individual, for proper resolution.
3. Becomes familiar with hazardous materials used on property, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.
4. Acts as a Dispatcher during emergency situations, and coordinates solutions to same; informs outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.
5. Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.
6. Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise customers and fellow Employees of same, whenever possible.
7. Assist the drop team in removing monies from redemption machines and helps on money escorts;
8. Ensures safe transportation of company monies to and from special events.
9. Interacts with customers and employees in a positive, professional manner.
10. Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
11. Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
12. Maintains a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.
13. Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the legal age, to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
14. Escorts assigned personnel and secures all transfer of monies on the floor to designated areas.
15. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
16. Other duties as assigned by Department Manager and/or General Manager.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Minimum of one-year experience in law enforcement/security certification preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required. Valid Texas Driver’s License. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have a level 2 Security Certificate, Handcuff Certification and 1 year minimum experience in either Security, DOC, Law Enforcement and Military. Must be culturally sensitive to minority population especially Native Americans; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal history background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use good manual and finger dexterity, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
