What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Loan Officer position at Yellowstone Bank?
Yellowstone Bank is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our team in Billings, Montana. As a Commercial Loan Officer, you will work with new and existing clients on various commercial credit needs. This job would include all sizes of commercial loans and require a good working knowledge of loan credit underwriting, as well as an appreciation for customer interaction and customer service. This would be a new position without an existing book of loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with primarily commercial loan customers with additional lending to consumer real estate and personal loan customers.
- Compliance with and basic understanding of banking regulations.
- Analyze and assess credit worthiness of borrowers and underwrite loan requests.
- Understanding of bank loan documentation.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with bank management, officers and staff.
- Lending officers at Yellowstone Bank work on a wide variety of credit requests including commercial projects big and small, commercial real estate loans, SBA loans, real estate loans both residential or commercial and even the occasional consumer loan.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of lending and deposit products, market conditions and regulations.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and community members
- Proficient in financial analysis and credit risk assessment.
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with banking software and loan processing systems.
