$74,604 - $89,525, Home Office Grade 7

THE OPPORTUNITY

YES Prep needs a dynamic Director of Program Success- Elementary with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, you will support campus leaders to build their skills, capacities, and mindsets to execute the YES Prep program, effectively ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn and grow in a college ready education.


THE
ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director of Program Success- Elementary to ensure high fidelity to and maximum impact of the campus implementation of the YES Prep Academic and Culture Programs.
  • Designing and delivering professional development for school-based teams that is responsive to campus data in order to increase their capacity to implement the YES Prep Program and respond to staff, family, and community needs.
  • Providing robust, strategic, targeted support to a cohort of focus elementary campus Assistant Principals and Deans of Instruction, alongside their campus leadership.
  • Providing weekly on the ground development, real-time coaching, and professional development to a cohort of focus school elementary campus leaders that results in rapid, data-based growth.
  • Collaborating with the student culture team and the externals team to design and support the elementary family experience to increase engagement and persistence so that every child can access a college-ready education.
  • Collaborating with Elementary Content Directors and Content Specialists to align campus support to academic and instructional priorities.
  • Collaborating with the Special Populations team to ensure Assistant Principals are prepared to lead initiatives for students served in Special Education, 504, Emergent Bilingual Programming, and MTSS.
  • Training, monitoring and responding to compliance data points assigned by the Assistant Principal role to ensure high accuracy and compliance.
  • Leading highly effective communication with Assistant Principals resulting in increased impact and retention.
  • Serving as the point of contact for all Home Office leaders who assign projects and tasks to Assistant Principals
  • Coaching and developing Assistant Principals and Elementary DoIs to maintain a culture grounded in increasing positive student outcomes to ensure college readiness and access to excellent educational opportunities so that all Sparks can live choice-filled lives
  • Collaborating with Leadership Development team to support the selection and development of Resident Assistant Principals so that YES Prep Elementary Schools have a strong “bench” of leadership for the future.
  • Working in partnership with other members of EPT, Heads of Schools and other Home Office leaders to provide leadership development opportunities for elementary campus leaders
  • Synthesizing academic and culture team initiatives to ensure internalization and hold elementary leaders accountable for implementation
  • Facilitating professional development for campus and home office leadership to maximize impact of the elementary program and ensure highly effective schools.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
  • Minimum of 5 years as an effective classroom teacher
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an effective elementary instructional leader
  • Have extensive knowledge of elementary programming for EB students, and students served under Special Education, Section 504 and MTSS.
  • Experience coaching teachers and instructional leaders
  • Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
  • Ability to create processes and systems to analyze data and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends

THE NICE TO HAVES
  • Master Degree in Education or related field
  • 5 - 10 years of experience coaching instructional leaders
  • Principal Certification
  • Specialty work experience for the role
  • Bilingual – Spanish
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once

THE PERKS

  • Compensation
    This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
  • Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
