Job Title: Forklift Operator Reports To: Operation Supervisor Location: Houston, TX Shift : First Shift FLSA Classification: Non-exempt SUMMARY The Forklift driver will work with the materials department and shipping and receiving to manage the flow of materials throughout building. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following, other duties may be assigned. Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Lifts heavy/light weight items. May use (But not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment. Examines stock and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Minimum of 1 year on a reach truck/standup forklift No certifications required Physical driving test will be required post-interview PHYSICAL DEMAND Requires good manual dexterity with both hands, stooping, bending, standing wrist motion, elbow bending and flexing. Requires minimum push/pull/lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
