Position Summary: The Human Resources Specialist is an integral part of the First Coast YMCA’s Leadership Development and Human Resources Team. This role will oversee with HR processes that support recruiting, onboarding, and retaining great people within the organization. This position plays a key role in supporting Human Resources’ goals.
Essential Functions:
· Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
· Serves as quality controller for data integrity in the Human Resources Information System (UKG). Interface with the system solutions team for case resolutions.
· Oversees all Human Resources Information System (UKG) SOPs and updates as system changes occur.
· Responds to and completes employment verifications.
· Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for Human Resources Information System (UKG) and works with the system on all new updates, releases and ensures that the association is aware of upcoming changes.
· Serves as a Certified Notary for all out-of-state background screening.
· Oversees Motor Vehicle Reporting for employees and new hires along with the clearance process.
· Performs terminations in system.
· Adds/changes cost centers and job codes per Personnel Information (PI) Forms.
Completes monthly Department of Labor (DOL) reporting requirements.
· Manages bi-monthly unemployment through FL Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) reporting. Prepares documentation for hearings when needed.
· Ensures monthly YUSA Link reporting is accurate and reflects current employee population for security purposes.
· Handles updates and changes in the background screening Clearinghouse.
· Audits new hire process for accuracy of records to meet Department of Children and Families (DCF) specifications.
· Compiles and prepares reports and documents pertaining to subpoenas.
· Directs the summer hiring process.

Qualifications:
· Two or more years’ experience working in the Human Resources field.
· Maintains current working knowledge of YMCA of Florida’s First Coast’s policies and procedures and employment laws (i.e. EEOC, ADA, FLSA).
· Working knowledge of DOL, FL DEO, DCF, and I-9s.
· Strong organization skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
