$17.00-$20.40/Hour

Position Summary:
Assists in the coordination of programming offered through YMCA Healthy Living Department initiatives. Provides support to Director of Healthy Living and department staff to ensure the department achieves quality performance outcomes.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages administrative side of wellness portal for corporate wellness programs.
  • Provides support and analyzes data trends for corporate wellness clients and their employees.
  • Assists with corporate wellness on-site program initiatives including but not limited to and provides support to on-site wellness coaches as needed.
  • Works to development improvements in employee engagement for wellness initiatives.
  • Conducts research for corporate wellness programs and wellness trends to assist with program development.
  • Provides subject-matter expertise in program development.
  • Maintains relationships with online platform portal vendors.
  • Manages administrative side of EMS system for biometric screenings.
  • Provides support to employee EMS system users.
  • Assists with scheduling, uploading files, designing the EMS system platform and assessing results.
  • Analyzes data from biometric screenings and assist with compiling aggregate reports.
  • Oversees biometric screening events as needed including but not limited to scheduling contractors, working with employers, scheduling employee appointments, data entry, etc.
  • Supports Director of Healthy Living on department initiatives with hospital partners.
  • Assists in observing program staff and provides class coverage as needed.
  • Assists wellness coaches with launching of new wellness classes offered onsite and offsite.
  • Assists with the development of new materials needed for Healthy Living Department initiatives.
  • Develops and strengthens relationships with public health, health care provider, and payor
  • communities (as well as other vested organizations) to build program awareness and to increase program referrals.
  • Represents the YMCA and the Healthy Living Department at internal and external wellness fairs, screening events, wellness presentations, etc.
  • Participates on regularly scheduled conference calls and meetings with organizations, stakeholders, vendors and other YMCAs.
  • Use reporting and quality assurance tools in data system to ensure Y is meeting performance standards.
  • Participates and contributes towards the goals of program task teams, and other assigned committees of the Association.
  • Works with Compliance Officer to ensure programs and YMCA staff adhere to YMCA’s HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Support Compliance Officer with implementing HIPAA audits to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
  • A 4-year college degree in Wellness, Health Promotion, Population Health, Public Health, or related field.
  • CPR/AED, First Aid and Oxygen within 60 days of hire and kept current.
  • HIPAA Privacy and Security Certification completed within 30 days of employment.
  • Wellness coach certified through Dr. Sears Wellness Coach Certification or related certification preferred or complete certification within first six months of hire.
  • 2-4 years relevant work experience. May include field work during graduate programs.
  • Extremely organized, experience with large volume of projects and project management preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Quick learner.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work within all areas of the department (Corporate wellness, hospital wellness programs, community outreach, and Y branch programs)
  • Ability to function independently or in a team and show sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivator.
  • Experience working with adults by delivering educational presentations, facilitating classes or conducting one-on-one coaching.
  • Experience with analyzing data and understanding data trends over time.
  • Knowledge of basic health, nutrition, fitness, and understanding of behavior change required.
  • Computer skills needed, particularly with Microsoft Office and email applications.Ability to quickly learn the EMS biometric software and wellness platform.
