The YMCA of Great Grand Rapids utilizes a Membership By Design framework, which is a member involvement and community building model for YMCAs across the country. All staff members—front-line, management, full- and part-time—and volunteers have a role to play in member engagement. These responsibilities can be broken into six steps:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Specialist II is responsible for clean, orderly, and attractive facilities and grounds. The Facilities Specialist II is responsible for assisting with locker room operations, parking lot, and custodial staff. This position requires face-to-face hands-on leadership in this program and may involve early morning, evening and weekend responsibilities. Must be available to work weekday evenings, 6:00 - 11:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids.
COMPENSATION
$13.80 - $ ; Non-Exempt; Part Time (up to 25 hours/week)
BENEFITS
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); one to three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Working knowledge of building and ground cleanliness. Past supervision experience preferred. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles, Working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. YMCA experience preferred.

TRAVEL
0-5% of local travel within the state of Michigan, primarily between other branch locations in the Greater Grand Rapids Association; occasional out-of-state travel maybe required for educational conferences or training.
