The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Childcare Site Aide to join our team!

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
As aChildcare Site Aide, you will support the YMCA Child Care Program year-round to serve our community with a variety of activity options to explore and develop the interests and talents of the youth with a focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic enhancement forchildren to have fun and thrive in our care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support academic goals and plans for attending children.
• Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety, and our YMCA values which include implementation of proximity praise, specific action compliments, and our 8 Points of Leadership.
• Assist with the implementation of services for the Child Care Before and After School Program alongside the Before and After School Teacher and Lead.

• You are willing to obtain a Food Handlers permit (cost reimbursable), complete a pre-employment TB skin test with negative results (YMCA will assist in this process. and proof of MMR vaccination (before the first day of employment).

• Must be able to complete required DCYF background and fingerprint checks before the first day of hire.
• You can complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on your first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

Wages: $16.50 to $18.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part-Time - up to 25 hours per week
Location: Peninsula School District, Gig Harbor, WA
