POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direction of the Senior Program Director, this seasonal residential position works with all youth programs to provide quality experiences. Youth Program Specialists will be involved in the daily and/or overnight supervision and education for all camp run residential programs These programs may include specialty camps, after school programs, outdoor science school, and enrichment youth programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Upholds the rules, policies, code of conduct and traditions of YMC Camp Campbell.
• Serve as a good role model in personal language, appearance, communication skills, and health habits to volunteers and participants.
• Supervise children at all time; lives in a cabin with participants as assigned.
• Communicate proactively with staff to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
• Ensure that all actives are safe, fun and age appropriate.
• Redirect participants' behavior positively and effectively.
• Attend all mandatory trainings, workshops and staff meetings.
• Conduct all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Host and supervise large group programming.
• Ability to adapt to all activities to meet the physical and behavioral needs of all students.
• Exemplify and monitor good stewardship of facilities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
