Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Membership Director. The Member Services Coordinator will be directly responsible for providing the highest quality service to members and the community.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Member Services/Wellness Coordinator must demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission of the YMCA. This position requires a person who must demonstrate an ability to work effectively with people and be a team player. This position requires good organizational skills, strong human relation skills, general knowledge of business procedures, good communication skills (verbal and written), willingness to adapt to change and knowledge about YMCA operational procedures and programs. This person must have sales experience, a working knowledge of operating computers, friendly, and exhibit good health habits. The ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationship with staff, volunteers, members and community is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for reading the Membership Communication emails at the start of each shift and relaying and training such information to all part-time staff (cause driven tour, phone scripts)
  • Daxko engage log-in and task completion done daily (High risk, no photo, not engaged) all of high risk to be tasked to member engagement director.
  • Responsible for studying and learning the brochure and front desk manuals in the first two weeks of training.
  • Responsible for checking for accuracy of all program prices and dates for each program in Daxko for the upcoming season's or monthly programs. (follow up with all directors to clarify error)
  • Responsible for reviewing and correcting any and all business transactions. Review of the event log for the previous day's work and correcting any mistakes with notes for clarification. (example: receipt, monies and program registrations, membership applications, change events )
  • Contact all new members within 48 hours and check for engagement. This includes online joins, Setting up EGYM appointments and scheduling Wellness consultations.
  • Participate in delivery of services to members to ensure excellence through onsite tours, email communications, as well as phone calls.
  • Create a positive environment where everyone feels welcome, encourage and motivate others to become more involved in the YMCA
  • Communicate in a friendly and a courteous manner when answering phones, transferring calls, and taking messages.
  • Assist at member service desk and make sure that no member is left unattended
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and special events as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Membership Coordinator will report directly to the Membership Director. He or she will be responsible for the successful development of the membership base, and quality customer service, as well as the successful completion of all transactions during shift. This position will also be vital in actively engaging new members with the Wellness offerings. (EGYM, Personal Training, Consultations...etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs; bending, time outdoors, sitting and desk work up to 8 hours per shift, working with chemicals, and must be able to perform physical duties of positions of which you supervise. Required to take YMCA training in CPR, AED, First Aid and New Staff Orientation within 30 days of employment.
