POSITION SUMMARY:
These general functions will be carried out in keeping with the Goals, Mission and Policies of the YMCA of the East Bay. Leads the auditing of payroll and communication to the team.Serves as a bridge between HR/Payroll and the leadership team to effectively support and lead changes to improve the Y’s payroll processes and manage leaves.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Monitors and audits payroll, looking for areas to improve
2.Creates timely and regular reports indicating meal premiums (late lunch breaks, short lunch breaks), overtime and timekeeping trends for supervisors
3.Leads communication to leadership team via emails, Zoom calls and in-person meetings
4.Collaborates with supervisors on how to improve timekeeping and compliance
5.Translates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into actionable insights
6.Makes recommendation for UKG improvements, keeping in compliance
7.Provides backup for Payroll Manager, creating manual checks and transmitting payroll
8.Manages leave of absences for employees
9.Contributes in weekly meetings with HR/Payroll team to discuss areas of focus or concern
10. Participates in Association-wide projects and events when needed
11. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
·Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related field of study
·Minimum of 2 years of experience with UKG, ADP, UltiPro or other major payroll software
·Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and leave of absences laws, Federal and California
·Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills to share data
·Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
·Prior experience working with diverse populations
·Must have a valid driver’s license and personal insurance
