March 6, 2023 The Welcome Center is the hub of the Y. It's the first point of contact with our members, guests, and potential members. It's where a person's YMCA journey begins, which is why we require friendly, happy people to work behind the desk. You must have an empathetic spirit, want to truly help people and be supportive not only to our members but also to the staff. This position requires you to multitask while engaging with members and guests, you must have administrative skills, need basic computer skills, answer the phones, handle issues/complaints in a positive manner. Member engagement is your priority but as in any job there are other responsibilities. All of them enhance our members' experience in some way. We are open 5:00am to 9:00pm Mon through Friday and 7:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday. I am looking for someone to work evenings and weekends. I like to operate with a set schedule. Staff are responsible for finding their own coverage for shift changes (with supervisors' approval). The pay rate is minimum wage. This is a great job if you are looking for rewarding work, a way to give back to the community and add some income for yourself.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
