YMCA is Hiring a Grants Compliance Manager - Miami Dade County Near Miami, FL

The Grant Compliance Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring compliance with all Youth Development grants within Miami-Dade County. Reporting directly to the Associate Executive Director of Grants & Program Operations, this role involves meticulous oversight of grant requirements, reporting, and adherence to regulatory frameworks. The Grant Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding the organization's commitment to delivering effective programs and services to our community.

Essential Functions / Job Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including but not limited to budget oversight, personnel records, client files, and goal, objective, and outcome tracking.
  • Prepare accurate and timely grant reports, contract summaries, and compliance documentation for all Youth Development grants, ensuring adherence to reporting prerequisites and regulatory frameworks.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with Program Directors, program staff, funding agencies, and key stakeholders, providing expert guidance and support for grant compliance components.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure program sites meet grant requirements, identifying and addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Report findings of non-compliance to the Associate Executive Director, contributing to the development of corrective action plans, and overseeing their implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Grants team in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, contracts, and any necessary amendments.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to uphold rigorous compliance standards and address audit-related matters.
  • Conduct internal audits as needed to assess the organization's performance standing, identify areas of improvement and strong suits.
  • Maintain meticulous records of program property and equipment, conducting annual physical inventory assessments as required.
  • Manage staff training requirements as per grant mandates and develop training programs to meet compliance as needed.
  • Manage and oversee family engagement initiatives within the YMCA's Family Support Services program.
  • Take the lead in creating and disseminating a monthly newsletter to program participants and stakeholders, providing valuable information on available resources, program updates, and success stories.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information being reviewed, processed, and filed.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities established by the Associate Executive Director.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities / Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Relevant and extensive work experience may substitute education requirement.
  • Experience in grant management and compliance within the nonprofit sector preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grant compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with program staff, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing staff training requirements as per grant mandates and developing training programs to meet compliance as needed.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Adult/ Child CPR & First Aid certified.
