Sr. Payroll Specialist needed for a 6 month Contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Newark, NJ.

The Big Picture Top Skills Should You Possess :

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large corporate payroll environment, including knowledge of Canadian wage & hour laws.
• Proficiency with Workday HCM / Payroll / Time Tracking, ADP WorkforceNow, MS Office applications, and report writing.
• Strong judgment and discretion, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, capable of interacting with individuals at all levels.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Process and audit payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to employees.
• Maintain compliance with federal and provincial wage and hour regulations, garnishments, and payroll taxes.
• Analyze payroll situations and provide recommendations.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports.
• Provide support and resolution for payroll-related inquiries.

What You Need to Bring to the Table :
