Electrical Technician
The Electrical Technician is accountable for troubleshooting issues from vehicle end-of-line testing and bring-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting, and familiarity with software driven diagnostic testing. They will work closely with engineers and other technicians in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Scope:
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on autonomous vehicles.
* Escalate issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
* Support the bring-up of autonomous vehicles.
* Conduct electrical testing and analysis.
* Maintain and update electrical documentation.
* Work with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Required:
* 2 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
* Experience in a trade school with a few years of hands-on experience would be ideal.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
* Very comfortable using computers for regular business tasks (spreadsheets, email).
* Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostics).
* Familiarity with software diagnostic tools (command line interfaces, interpreting log files).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated technical writing skills.
* Practice giving clear verbal communication and instructions.
* Willing and able to travel for medium durations regularly.
Pluses:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or experience in a trade school.
* 5 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
* Experience with autonomous or electric vehicles.
* Experience with prototype or early development engineering projects.
