What you will do: The role of Global Marine & Navy Service Sales Manager (France, Americas and Sweden) is part of a global strategy for Johnson Controls to develop our focus on Service growth. Reporting to the Head of Service Sales, you will lead a dedicated team of sales professionals, targeting the growth of our service repairs and maintenance base. There is opportunity to grow and develop the team as we find success in our target markets. The role is focused on winning new service business, including growing share-of-wallet and cross-selling additional products and services to new and existing customers. Working closely with and supported by our inside sales teams, you will own the service sales growth initiative taking ownership for direct sales focus on key market segments. How you will do it: You will lead the execution of the Go-To-Market strategies in existing and new vertical markets (e.g. renewables) and employ enterprise tools and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth. Ensuring strategies are achieved, you will take key learnings to continuously adapt our sales strategy to deliver success. You will also encourage use and effective adoption of company systems, tools, pricing policies and sales processes/training. Through relentless management of performance, leveraging market and CRM data you will blend field accompaniments with formal mentor conversations to ensure our field sales teams are continuously improving. You will leverage the framework, tools and processes to ensure coaching is effectively focused on the needs of everyone in the team. You will promote JCI digital solutions and sustainability solutions to generate and secure service contract opportunities and pipelines within your teams. Our GM&N sales team are Global, however, this role will take the management of our teams in Sweden, Americas and France. As such, the role will require appropriate travel to accurately support our sales professionals. As our organisation matures and depending upon the location of customers and specific opportunities in these markets, some degree of foreign travel may be required. Salesforce.com is well established as the CRM tool within the business. Our Marketing function is also able to support with external communications and tailoring customer campaigns. What we look for: The team will be driving new service contract acquisition, as such the Service Sales Manager must have experience in developing and leading high performing teams. You will have experience in field sales and have in-depth knowledge of the complexities of relationship selling as well as planning, business development, opportunity, and pipeline management via informal and formal interactions to achieve channel objectives. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment and experience in investing in your teams and be passionate about the benefits of coaching for success. You will provide guidance, set expectations, and ensure the team operates efficiently: Have a proactive and results-driven approach to sales with an ability to manage multiple team forecasts and financial commitments exceeding sales targets. Achieve assigned sales targets and drive revenue growth. Identify new opportunities to expand market share and work with your teams to develop new go to market strategies. Provide consistent leadership and supervision to the sales team. Define sales goals and targets for the team and monitor progress. Evaluating team members’ performance and coach for success. 3-5 years Sales Management experience with a proven track record, preferably within the Marine /offshore sector. Excellent verbal, written and financial communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel. The passion to success and inspire!
