- Track Quantities for construction activities (Concrete Placed, Formwork, Excavation, Backfill, etc..)
- Assist the superintendent in planning and executing daily field activities
- Help the project team in areas of contract compliance, budget, schedule, and job costing
- Assist in preparing Submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders
- Analyze shop drawings, as-builts, and other contract required documents to ensure completeness and accuracy and submit to the owner with required documentation
- Assist with document control procedures
- Order and Coordinate deliveries of select material to the jobsite
- Promote safety – assist with the implementation of all applicable safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Update Construction Tracking Drawings using either Bluebeam or AutoCAD.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Recent College Grad or 1-3 years of civil engineering experience
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Ability to take field measurements and calculate basic quantities
- Proficiency in Excel and Word and comfortable learning new systems
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Prepare clear and concise reports and letters
- Strong Microsoft skills
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
- Must meet requirements to work in the US (form I9)
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Work in varying weather and temperatures
- Willingly to work in conditions with dirt, mud, railroad tracks, and occasionally confine spaces
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment
- Visual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, and perform other essential functions of the job
- Occasionally walk on uneven terrain and/or across bridges
- May be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours, particularly during emergency situations.
- Ability to arrive on time and work the required hours to meet job needs
