Performance Responsibilities

·Advises students andother passengers of appropriate behavior to reinforce regulations andmaintaining passenger safety.

·Assesses incidents,complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations for the purpose ofresolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.

·Assists students andother passengers to provide safe loading and unloading form buses includingboth emergency situations and normal transport.

·Attends meetings,classroom and behind the wheel training, safety meeting to maintain skills andmeeting the criteria requirements of a school bus driver.

·Cleans assignedvehicles, both interior and exterior to ensure safety, appearance, andsanitation of vehicle.

·Conducts emergencyevacuation drills to ensure efficiency of procedures and complying with mandated requirements.

·Drives assignedvehicle to specified location on specified days to maintain vehicle in a safeoperating condition.

·Drives school bus totransport passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and/or fieldtrips in a safe and timely manner.

·Performs pre-trip andpost-trip inspections (e.g., tire pressure, exterior condition, mirrors) toensure the safe operating condition of the vehicle and complying with mandatedguidelines.

·Prepares documentsand reports (e.g., trip reports, incident reports, inspections records,passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, routing information) toprovide written support and/or conveying information.

·Reports observationsand/or incidents (e.g., discipline, inappropriate social behavior) tocommunicate information to appropriate personnel.

·Responds to inquiries(e.g., students, parents, other school personnel) to provide information and/ordirection.

·Supervises studentsand other passengers during transit to maintain safety and following districtpolicy.

·Assists otherpersonnel to support them in the completion of their work activities.
