Summary · Assist with the implementation and management of a 21CFR Part 111 compliant quality system · Support the YLEO Quality Metrics program at the Spanish Fork facility · Conduct Internal Audits as defined within the approved timeframes · Support the continuous improvement within Quality Assurance /Laboratory/ Production/ Warehouse by providing assistance guidance and feedback for existing or improving processes Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): · Have working knowledge and experience with 21CFR Part 111, Dietary Supplement regulations, or other FDA Regulated environments · Implement Good Documentation Practices (GDP’s), which ensure regulatory compliance with 21CFR Part 111 · Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), which ensure regulatory compliance with 21CFR Part 111 · Assist with the implementation of procedures that are compliant with Part 111 regulations · Support behavior that ensures Part 111 compliant practices · Work harmoniously with all Young Living staff to ensure a team environment. · Effectively communicate with Young Living management · Conduct daily activities in support of QA/QA Receiving Inspection/QA Production/Laboratory Staff and other departments within the organization. · Conduct inspections of QA/Production/Laboratory/Warehouse and Receiving Inspection areas in support of the YLEO compliance programs · Assist with general investigations, (mock) recalls, and other quality-related activities · Partner with Mgmt. and other departments to perform internal investigations and implement Corrective Actions · Partner with other YL departments to implement quality systems that meet international regulatory and market requirements · Assist with tracking quality-related metrics and report monthly on department /site progress · Other duties as assigned Education and Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · A degree in a Clinical / Technical or Business discipline is preferred but not required · At least five years’ related experience working in a cGMP regulated environment · Accredited Certification in a quality discipline, (i.e. CQA, CMQ, CQIA etc.) is preferred · Experience in document writing such as Audit Report’s, SOPs, Work Instructions, Training, etc.… · Experience with understanding and effectively communicating FDA regulatory standards · Experience with environmental monitoring systems · Experience with microbiology and the effects it has on cGMP (Preferred but not necessary) Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment · Employee may work in an office setting. The individual must be able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused. · Employee may work in a Laboratory setting. The individual must be able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused. · Employee may work in Production / Warehouse environment, needing to wear sweatshirt or specific OSHA safety gear. · Employee may work in Farm environment and in colder temperatures, needing to wear warm clothing and applicable OSHA safety gear. Safety Requirements · Employee is required to understand proper safety procedures before operating any equipment. · Employee may be required to be certified to use equipment. · Employee may be required to wear appropriate OSHA safety gear.
