Job Summary: The Assistant Manager will support the Owner in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the high standards of our product. This role involves a mix of hands-on work, team supervision, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the shop, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards.
• Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
• Support the Owner in scheduling staff and managing payroll.
• Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
• Oversee quality control to ensure all donuts meet our standards for taste and presentation.
• Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
• Perform cash handling and financial reporting duties accurately.
• Step in to perform any role as needed, including preparing donuts, serving customers, and cleaning.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a food service or retail environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic financial reporting.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and holidays as needed.
• Passion for food, particularly donuts, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in baking or food preparation.
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

Typical Hours- Wednesday-Sunday 6AM-2PM. Occasional flexing up of hours as needed due to large catering orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
