WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1978 as Ohio’s first treatment Foster Care program, Youth Advocate Services (YAS) remains an essential organization addressing the dynamic needs of Central Ohio families. Our impactful Foster Care, Behavioral Health, and Franklin County Early Intervention programs offer counseling, service coordination, and community and education support services — all provided at no cost to the families we serve.

At YAS, we prioritize not only the well-being of the youth and families we serve but also the care and support of our team. We believe in fostering a client-focused environment by ensuring our leadership team is committed to caring for each member of our organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Learn under the guidance of the Director of Development and Marketing.
• Gain hands-on experience in content creation and posting on YAS social media accounts and website.
• Collaborate with the Director of Development & Marketing to brainstorm and develop engaging content ideas.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and newsletters.
• Support the organization and promotion of fundraising events and campaigns.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's marketing database.
• Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.

Requirements

• A student or recent graduate with an interest in marketing or a related field.
• Enthusiastic about learning and gaining practical experience in social media content creation and posting.
• Comfortable working in an environment with clear deadlines and structured tasks.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with digital creation tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but not required.
• Self-motivated and eager to contribute to mission-driven work that makes a positive impact in the community.
