WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1978 as Ohio’s first treatment Foster Care program, Youth Advocate Services (YAS) remains an essential organization addressing the dynamic needs of Central Ohio families. Our impactful Foster Care, Behavioral Health, and Franklin County Early Intervention programs offer counseling, service coordination, and community and education support services — all provided at no cost to the families we serve.

At YAS, we prioritize not only the well-being of the youth and families we serve but also the care and support of our team. We believe in fostering a client-focused environment by ensuring our leadership team is committed to caring for each member of our organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work under the supervision of the Director of Development and Marketing.
• Utilize your marketing skills and creativity to enhance YAS's social media presence and outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with the Director of Development and Marketing to develop and execute engaging content ideas for YAS's social media accounts and website.
• Assist in the creation of visually appealing marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and newsletters.
• Support the planning and promotion of fundraising events and campaigns aimed at generating support and awareness for YAS's mission.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth within our target audience.
• Help maintain and update YAS's marketing database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Provide administrative support as needed to ensure the smooth operation of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

• A passionate individual with a strong desire to use your marketing skills to give back to the community.
• Experienced in social media content creation and posting, preferably in a brand or influencer setting.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote or virtual environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with, and access to, digital creation tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Enthusiastic about supporting mission-driven work and making a positive impact in the community.
