DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain an agreement with the courts in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties.
• Supervise Advocate Supervisor
• Screen all cases referred to the program.
• Ensure case files and reports to Court are accurate and timely.
• Ensure advocate supervisor maintains accurate records for volunteers
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
• Responsible for grant writing and maintaining funding sources
• Monthly reports to agency board
• Coordinate CASA committee
• Attend training as required
• Attend court hearings as required
• Develop recruitment plan annually
• Provide training as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preference - Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in the behavioral or social sciences and experience in working with children. Required - a Bachelor's Degree in the behavioral, or social sciences from an accredited college or university and two (2) years experience in youth work.
• Investigate, locate, and access community services, build a trust relationship between isolated clients, self, and community services, educate others as to methods of gaining access to services.
• Apply social work and counseling methods and techniques.
• Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
• Evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual modifications.
• Lead and train staff and/or students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills on a variety of levels
• Independent motivation and decision-making skills
• Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of Community mental health resources; diagnostic and client care services;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
