Description

This position is located at the Ronald C. Mulholland Juvenile Center in Wheeling, WV which is operated by Youth Services Systems. This position will provide a challenging, yet highly rewarding work environment for the right candidates! This facility is a 24/7 facility which will require our team members to possibly work a variety of shifts.

Corrections Officer Responsibilities:

• Meet with at-risk and troubled youth/clients on a regular basis to discuss needs to be addressed.
• Review and discuss progress and to inform the client of changes in program or schedule.
• Provide individual and group supportive counseling, educational groups, and plan activities, events and program development.
• Develop positive relationships.
• Model appropriate behaviors
• Provide documentation related to client progress, activities, participation, and reports as required by the case manager and/or courts.
• Assist in program development and attend meetings/training as necessary.
• Additional Job Description will be provided at interview.

Corrections Officer Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Background Check
• Must attend the academy
• 21 years of age in Residential Living facilities
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to work afternoon and overnight shifts

Salary: $17.51 per hour
